So, you probably heard that Banky W shut down EME and you felt your heart break. Oh dear, cheer up, it is for a good cause.
Now, here is the full story of how Banky W shut down EME or rather, expanded.
When you decide to shut down a 9-year-old business just so you can expand; then it means you are way too convinced about something. That something is that the 30 billion for the akant kind of money is about to fall on you.
We all know Banky Wellington is good at keeping secrets, we mean, he did hide his relationship with Adesua Etomi who would go on to become his wife.
This is why it is not surprising to find out that Banky W only just announced that he had shut down his record label Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), a label which he had already shut down over a year ago precisely in January.
Talk about making your business, solely your business.
The singer and Nigeria’s once favourite bachelor announced on his Instagram page yesterday that EME had closed down its record label arm and has now expanded it into a media agency with the same name.
9 years ago, Wellington started the label with his best friend Tunde Demuren, OAP Toolz Oniru’s husband. Overtime, the label raised stars including Wizkid, Skales, DJ Xclusive, Masterkraft, Suka Sounds, among others.
