The Federal Government of Nigeria give announcement today that reopening of schools to continue the school academic calendar is still on hold till further notice.

Kindly debunk any rumor that as gone viral on social media and some blogs that school will resume in next two weeks.

Minister of state for education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba made it known to everyone at presidential task force on Corona virus today, May 21,2020 in Abuja clarifying that it as not been confirmed yet that school will reopen in the next two weeks.

The Federal Government had command all schools to embark on closure so as to curb the spread of the deadly virus.

Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba give answers to questions on when school will reopen. He said school will reopen when there is defense over the virus from spreading.

He said schools can’t reopen when there is no way to get the virus treated.

He added that, federal government is not ready to put the lives of students in danger and to stop the virus from spreading.

He said the Ministery have been trying to get a vaccine for the virus before the school reopen.

He said, we are interested in reopening of schools but not in two weeks.
